This super simple and inexpensive essential oil blend is the most excellent go-to in our household for reducing hayfever symptoms. Frankly, it's the bomb.
Often a key contributor that not so many realise, however, is that there is a strong suggestion that gut health and allergies are connected. That is, as I understand it, having healthy well-balanced gut bacteria can help our body to more effectively manage its reaction to allergens. So if, like so many people I know here in New Zealand and elsewhere, you suffer terribly with seasonal allergies, this is an avenue I highly recommend you investigate further.
What's needed to make it
Ingredients & equipment:
> 20 drops pure Lavender Essential Oil**
> 20 drops pure Peppermint Essential Oil**
> 20 drops pure Lemon Essential oil**
> Fractionated Coconut Oil
> 10 ml rollerball bottle
** These are the ratios of essential oil to carrier oil that I use, however, I would use less for small children, the elderly or anyone with sensitivities. Refer to an accurate dilution guide for the specific brand of essential oils that you use.
Here are the very special essential oils I use, trust, represent & support amazing women (& blokes) around the world with using:
How we make it
Method:
1 Add each of the essential oils to the rollerball bottle, then fill to the top with Fractionated Coconut Oil.
How we use it
Guidelines for best results:
I use mine in the following ways, repeating throughout the day:
> Roll oil blend onto the bottoms of feet and rub in gently, and/or
> Roll oil blend onto palms of the hands, rub hands together then place them over nose and mouth (avoiding the eyes) and inhale deeply for a few minutes.
> Roll oil blend onto back of neck and inside wrists. HOWEVER please read the important safety note below BEFORE using this approach.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE:
Lemon essential oil, like most citrus oils, is photosensitive. Therefore, DO NOT apply topically to any skin that will be exposed to the sun within 12 hours of application, as sunburn or skin irritation may result.
Much love,
